SCARBOROUGH – Eight more stars will be placed at Walk of Fame Court at the Scarborough Town Centre at an April 15 public ceremony. A remarkable list of nominees was pared down to eight recipients, who show the diversity of action and contributions within and far beyond Scarborough. “It’s absolutely amazing to read the accomplishments of this year’s recipients,” said Walk of Fame chairman Glenn De Baeremaeker. “I can’t wait to share their stories on stage at our April 15 ceremony. Save the date!” The new inductees are: - Trevor Godinho – Arts and Culture
- Jesse Asido – Business
- Geetha Moorthy – Community
- John and Cathy Phillips – Community
- Andre De Grasse – Sports
- Stan Farrow – Education
- Dr. Ashleigh Malloy, C.M. – Education

All inductees will attend the star ceremony. “If you haven’t seen the Walk of Fame, you really need to make a point of getting to STC. It’s really an impressive display and a great chance to recognize some of our previous recipients. You’ll be surprised at some of the names, said De Baeremaeker. Past stars celebrated include entertainer Lilly Singh, soccer player Dwayne De Rosario, community builder Earl Campbell and the Barenaked Ladies.
