The Scarborough Walk of Fame has launched a new website, giving the community an opportunity to learn about many of the builders and stars who have called the east Toronto community home. The website is found at .

“It’s incredible the talented and dedicated people who have emerged from the Scarborough community. We’re proud of the Walk of Fame members and we can’t wait to unveil our next group of recipients in the next few weeks,” said SWOF chair Marg Middleton.

Walk of Fame members are honoured by a star in a court on the main floor of the Scarborough Town Centre. An electronic board will soon give visitors an opportunity to learn about the 55 people inducted so far. Four Rising Star awards have been given to young people who have distinguished themselves in the community.

Sponsors of the 2022 program include rising star sponsors Scarborough Town Centre, Roadsport and Centennial College.

“We are proud to connect the community to notable people that help make Scarborough so special, especially this year. STC is installing a new digital pillar to elevate awareness of and recognition for this important program. There is no place quite like Scarborough and Scarborough Walk of Fame really illustrates our region’s contributions to the arts, culture, sports and community landscape.” – Thien Nguyen, General Manager STC.

“It is so uplifting to see the great list of Scarborough contributors – local residents who have made a name for themselves not only here, but nationally and globally.” – Marg Middleton, Scarborough Walk of Fame Chair
